Dr Sarah Qureshi is an aerospace genius the CEO and co-founder of Aero Engine Craft Private Limited, Pakistan’s first commercial engine and aircraft research and development firm focused on developing environmentally friendly contrail-free aircraft engines for the worldwide aviation industry.
Dr Sarah Qureshi is a Pakistani Muslim aerospace engineer who made headlines for developing a pollution-free aircraft engine.
Her aircraft engine doesn’t only aids in global warming mitigation but also helps produce artificial rain.
The machine she created includes a one-of-a-kind pressure-dependent condensation mechanism that will allow the water vapors in the plane’s exhaust to be cooled and to be converted into water. If wanted, this water could be dumped like rain.
Thanks to Dr. Qureshi, it was the first time Pakistan’s business sector launched an environmentally friendly effort to showcase the country’s participation in the battle against climate change.
Dr. Qureshi believes that she will achieve her aims when all of the world’s engines utilize this technology, and mankind is able to combat climate change and preserve the planet.
Dr. Qureshi obtained a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from NUST.
After her bachelor’s, she graduated from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom with a master’s degree in aerospace dynamics and a doctorate in aerospace propulsion.
Dr. Qureshi began studying to fly alongside her job in the automobile sector once she graduated. She earned her pilot’s license in Pakistan and had acrobatic flight instruction (barrel roll, spin, loop, and hammerhead) at Cranfield University in the United Kingdom, which is regarded as an aerospace hub in Europe and owns an airport.
Dr. Qureshi explained the ‘contrail phenomena’ and its global influence after her genius invention.
The white line of smoke emitted by commercial flights is especially hazardous to the planet’s surface. Her research work had been submitted to Cranfield University at first.
She subsequently turned her attention to the save-the-planet movement, focusing on developing a pollution-free engine because the aviation sector was not interested in her technology.
Dr. Qureshi’s mother is a quantum chemist with a Ph.D. Her father is a well-known physicist and scientist.
During her career in the automobile industry, Dr. Qureshi studied and worked on machines and engines with her father. She completed internships in engineering and automotive plants, gaining valuable experience.
Her father used to operate a private school when he was younger, and both of her parents have been passionate about teaching their children since they were in school.
Dr Sarah Quraishi has had her share of troubles.
Sarah Quraishi went on to acquire a Ph.D. following her marriage, and after the birth of her baby girl, she returned to Pakistan. She continued her Ph.D. while juggling the duties of her child at home in Pakistan.
Her life and vision are an inspiration for all Pakistani girls out there.
